2021 was a tough year for everyone. If you found yourself sitting at home for most of it due to Covid or working from home then you are not alone. However, sitting at home can be challenging for both body and mind. Many people found themselves slowly losing body confidence after many months indoors. Let's talk about some easy ways to boost your self-confidence in 2022!

1. Adopt a new morning routine

If you find that you are waking up in the morning looking and feeling exhausted then think about changing up your morning routine. The very first thing you I do when I wake up is meditate. After that I suggest drinking a full glass of water. This sets your body up for the day and replaces any water that you lost overnight.

You may want to evaluate your skincare regime and make changes to it that will help keep your skin soft and supple, especially in the winter months. As we age we have to switch up our routines to support our bodies.

2. Diet & Exercise

If you don’t recognize the person looking back at you when you look in the mirror it's time for a change. 

I usually suggest focusing on health and fitness a little bit more, as we can all benefit from some tune ups in that department. Luckily, you don’t even need to leave the house to do this! Working out not only make us feel better due to the endorphin release it provides, but it will also give you a better perception of yourself. If you do want to work out at home there are exercises you can do that require no equipment whatsoever. Focus on eating a healthy, balanced diet that consists of all the basic food groups. These include carbohydrates, fats, proteins (macronutrients), fruits, whole grains and vegetables (for lots of micronutrients). 

3. New hair, new you

Finally, if you find that you need something else in addition to diet and exercise to help find that missing confidence, then you could try switching up your hair style. You can give yourself a much-needed confidence boost by taking a trip to the hair salon. A new look might be just what you need!
